La Fonteta opens its home-season in the Endesa League with the visit of MoraBanc Andorra

Valencia Basket plays its first game of the new season in the Liga Endesa at La Fonteta, hosting MoraBanc Andorra (Friday 25, 5:00 p.m., Fonteta, Movistar Deportes) in a game corresponding to the round 2 of the national championship. The game, initially scheduled for Wednesday, was postponed due to the detection of positives for COVID-19 in the visiting team and relocated to Friday after the Andorran squad gave a full negative in their last test prior to the game. The game will be sponsored by Pamesa Cerámica.

 

The taronja team is looking for its first official win of the season after opening the tournament on Sunday with a last-gasp defeat in Vitoria and it will do so without the support of its fans since the Endesa League matches are being played behind closed doors by order of the CSD.

 

And will do it against a team with which had good precedents at home, on an afternoon in which Bojan Dubljevic can play his 450th game as a taronja player and Joan Sastre his 300th game in the Endesa League.

 

Coach Jaume Ponsarnau will have Serbian Vanja Marinkovic sidelined due to acute low back pain that has made him miss the last three games of the taronja team, although the other 13 players of the professional squad are available and will have to make a technical disposal if there are no more physical incidents.
